New Harbor is the hub for all that is Pemaquid. Close to hand you have the lighthouse, the beach, the ancient Fort William Henry, two harbors, the public boat launch, several fine eateries, and Muscongus Bay to the east with Johns Bay to the west. The area is known for its period Mansard homes and this 1890 restored and updated version overlooks New Harbor. The owner put his heart into the modernization of this and several other surrounding homes upgrading while retaining the special features of the Mansard type - bracketed eaves, unique window frame moldings, and paneled bay windows. All that one might need by way of a master suite, kitchen, sun room, living room with fireplace, and patio is on the first floor with ample room for family and guests on the second level. There is also a private rooftop deck which affords a lovely view of the harbor and out to sea.
