I am a 60+ year old Avon Lake house whose owners fell in love with me the day they moved in.
I have been very loved, upgrading me, adding an entire upstairs, bi-level deck outside, and a 2 car garage. I now have 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. My kitchen was just totally remodeled with granite countertops, custom white cabinets, under cabinet lighting and subway tile backsplash. The main living space in the lower level is bamboo flooring. I have a wood burning fireplace that kept everyone toasty in the winter.
The upstairs has been newly carpeted and painted. My basement was just redone with new carpeting, pantry with custom shelving and cupboards, a rec area or an escape, including a workroom complete with workbench for the person who loves to create.
My backyard is a near half acre fenced in area, where baseball diamonds were made, playing hide and seek and games among the bushes was the height of a summer, catching lightning bugs at night in view of the deck, and time on the deck was a nightly ritual. I am the house all the friends wanted to be at because I am a house that is meant to be lived in. My picket fence is the comfort and love I want to bring to a new owner.
I am sad to see my owners go and they are sad to give me up, but they want to turn it over to a new owner who will love me and create memories that they will be sentimental about.
